We visited the great bar Elewator No 10 which is part of the hostel this bar is housed and what a great bar.
A lovely interior with a long serving bar, great decor and furnishings including vintage bric a brac adorning the walls and spread throughout this bar,it really is a cool bar.My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Friday afternoon and we were the only customers of the day so we could really appreciate what a great looking bar this is,a very pleasant member of staff took our order to have a beer each ,these were served in tip top condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the bar we were in and planned out the day ahead while sipping our delicious beers.
This is certainly one cool and cozy bar ,it's the type of bar I could easily spend an evening but as we had some great craft beer bars picked out to visit in this vibrant city we reluctantly moved on after the one beer but we were very impressed with this great bar.
Elewator No 10 is really easy to locate, it located on Granary Island by the evocative Brama Stagiewna gate house, you will find this bar on Ul Spichrzowa.
Well worth checking out.
Popped into this place for a drink and what a great little bar it is. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good variety of drinks on selection. Good music and decor. Card and board games available to play. Definitely worth a visit!
Great hostel at a great price and with top location. The hostel is new and very functional and comfortable, at same time stylishly designed. Highly recommended! Wi-Fi is somewhat poor thou, and window view is not the nicest, but everything else is per high expectations.
The hostel was unbelievably good! Very modern, safe and everything looked brand new. You get a key card for access which allows you to access the floor you're in and then the room, so very safe. They provide bed linen, towels, key for one of the lockers and a basic breakfast to start your day. There is also a really nice pub on the ground floor that it's part of the hostel. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms are private, not the locker room type that some hostels have. Unfortunately, I had an awful nights sleep as one man (all dorms are mixed, no male or female dorms) staying in the same room snored the whole night!!! and a group of guests of the hostel decided to stay outside, in the sitting area, for a long time having an extremely loud conversation early in the morning. Staff seemed to be hit and miss, 1 really nice girl and 1 rude girl. My suggestion to the hostel is to setup some rules on noise and to have some rooms gender specific.
The bar Elewator No 19 attached to the hostel is amazing. They only have two beers on tap but on the day I visited they had a great selection of 29 different bottled craft beers all produced in Poland.
My favourite was the Double IPA which was excellent. Great decor, comfortable seating and knowledgeable bar staff. My only regret is that I discovered it on my last night in Gdansk adjacent to the Novotel Centrum where I stayed. Wish I'd found it earlier.
This is my third hostel in Gdansk and easily the best. It's brand new, check in was a breeze, right in the centre and the staff seem to care. Don't stay anywhere else. And that's coming from someone who doesn't normally review!!
